Cooking Steak Perfectly
I’m often asked – “What is the perfect way to cook my Wagyu beef?”. The answer is the same as regular beef and that way is SOUS VIDE!
Sous Vide is a way of cooking that immerses your beef in water using a water-tight bag (vacuum sealed or, my favorite, a Zip Lock freezer bag) at a specified temperature for a minimum specified time, then searing the surfaces (I use a cast iron pan). You’ll need a sous vide cooker, I use the Anova Sous Vide Immersion Circulator described in the link, but also my Instant Pot has a sous vide function which I have used successfully.
I always sous vide my steak, but last night I did a Wagyu steak burger sous vide and WOW. The perfect juicy steak burger!!! Between the natural tenderness of the Wagyu meat and the additional tenderness from the sous vide process, it was truly amazing and I’m hooked . Anyone want to buy a Weber grill?? LOL
